ADF&G data for human use trends that warrant further FishWatch monitoring efforts....

Alaska Department of Fish and Game data demonstrating increases in sportfishing effort on Copper River tributaries. The 1995 spike in Copper River Basin sportfish effort was the result of a Kenai River closure, demonstrating the potential for much higher human use levels and impacts on the Copper River fishery. Sportfishing is increasing, and FishWatch monitoring efforts will continue to document these changes for public knowledge.
